ASSITED DELIVERY

Assistance during childbirth is an important variable influencing the birth outcome and the mother’s and infant’s health. The skills and performance of the person providing assistance during delivery determine whether complications are properly managed and hygienic practices are observed. Those who received assistance from a professionally trained health professional are more likely to have more favourable outcomes than those did not.
